Silly Car Thieves...

They found our car...
TWO BLOCKS AWAY! LOL!
I told you it had no gas in it. I wasn't lying.

They actually didn't mess it up too badly. All of Chowder's stuff was laid out nicely in the trunk! Isn't that hilarious! Stealing the car was ok, but we don't want to mess up the robe and stole. Whatever.

The only real damage to the car is what they had to do to steal it. But, instead of just breaking out the freaking window the took a crow bar and actually bent back the door frame. I think that's really going to cost us.

ah well. What are you going to do?

Glad they found it. I'm thinking the fear of God set in when they realized they stole the pastor's car!

When my brother and I were in college, we sort of shared a car (a beat up old Buick Regal hand-me-down from our grandma) since we both went to school in the city of Chicago. It got stolen from his school's lot and they found it less than a week later with the steering column popped and no radio/stereo. Funny thing is, that was the second car we had had stolen, so we were hoping NOT to get it back because we knew what kind of shape it would be in on its return!

Won't insurance cover it?

I'm so glad they found the car and that Chowder's stuff was still in it! Sorry to hear about the damage though. I'm with jlp ... won't insurance cover the damage?

I know Jennifer! We were dreading what kind of condition it would be in. Our neighbor's car came back completely trashed and with bullet holes in it *shiver*

As far as insurance...Well, it depends.
You see it's a 10 yr old car, I can't even believe that inlaws have comprehensive insurance on it! I know we wouldn't.

But, we're hoping they don't total it.

We had someone attempt to steal our truck once - it was SO easy to break into without leaving a mark, but no, they had to make a mess. Your average thief tends not to be that smart...

Glad you got it back; hope it's not too costly to keep using.

Yeah, these days you can steal the car but you won't be able to afford gas to actually use it!

I'm glad everything was okay, and i hope the repairs aren't too astronomical.
